Mah-jong Social Group.
The Samford District Bowls Club members have started a Mah-jong social group. A small group of our members are playing social Mah-jong on Wednesday & Friday afternoons at the Samford Bowls Club. Cost $5.00 per session. They meet at 1.00pm and are happy for non – members to join them. If you have never played but have always wanted to, you are welcome to come and join them. Like Bowling Mah-jong is a game of skill, strategy, and luck. The game is played with a set of 144 tiles based on Chinese characters and symbols, although some regional variations may omit some tiles or add unique ones. Although the game is hard to master, it’s fairly easy to learn the basics. The benefits of playing Mah-jong derive precisely from this strategic thinking.
